I’ve spent more than 20 years exploring southern New Hampshire recreational trails, and I’ve been sharing them with Granite State Walker readers since 2006. Let my experiences (and occasional misadventures) guide you to some of the best places for walks and hikes in the southern region of the Granite State.
Sometimes, I go farther afield. I leave the White Mountains to my peak-bagging neighbors, while I explore beautiful lesser-known places like the northern Cohos Trail, New Hampshire’s many rail trails, and the Cross New Hampshire Adventure Trail.
Whether I’m interested in a local park or an all-day hiking adventure, southern New Hampshire never disappoints me. I hope you’ll enjoy the trip reports in Granite State Walker, and I hope they give you ideas for your own outings. Get out there and enjoy hiking and walking in the Granite State!
- I’ve served on my town’s Conservation Commission and on the board of the New Hampshire Rail Trails Coalition. Neither of those entities is responsible for the material on this blog.
- I took all the photos on Granite State Walker except as otherwise credited.
