From Beaver Brook Association in Hollis comes this Facebook post today, reminding me that I could come across large critters anywhere I walk in southern New Hampshire. There be bears here. I’ll keep my eyes open.

Thanks for the heads up! The upcoming week, with its deep cold, just might make a difference, though.
I hope so. I live a few miles from where this photo was taken, and bears in my area are becoming year-round raiders of bird feeders. I just want to tell the critters “take a break!”
